Imagine a pressure cooker. That's why coolant would spurt out if you removed the cap from your radiator if its hot. Coolant is a mixture that's supposed to help water from freezing and prohibit rust. -Aaron |

Registered User | 1: Does coolant raise the boiling point of water? I don't know. 2: If water boils at a lower temp when it's in a vacuum, then does it freeze sooner when it's in an area with a higher pressure? No. 3: Without gravity A)would heat still rise? B)would thermal heatsinks(non fan type) be useless? No. Heat rises based on density. Gravity pulls on more dense fluids. If there is no gravity hot fluids wouldn't rise above cold. 4: If you were in a boat doing 55 mph, and there was a cross wind going 10 mph, how fast are you actually going? There is no way to know. If you knew the force the wind had on the boat you could figure it out with vectors. 5: In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings how many times per second? Uhhh... 6: Which would be more capable of carrying a coconut? a) African Swallow This b)European Swallow 7: Name three Fraggle Rock characters. What? 8: In the show Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, what was the name of the character that held his eyeballs and smelled bad? 9: Is the oil filter on a 4.0L on the suction side of the oil pump or on the pressure side? 10: What is the mass of the earth and the mass of the moon? __________________ 97 TJ sport. The heatsink would continue to radiate heat, but without anything causing the movement of air, they wouldn't work nearly so efficiently, heat will still dissipate from hot areas to cold areas due to conduction, but convection (movement of hot gases) distributes heat much more quickly. Quote:
In that case the 55 represents the hypoteneuse of the velocity triangle with the cross wind representing one of the other two sides, consequently the true speed of the boat is the square root of the 55 squared and the 10 squared, which I make out to be; sqrt((55 * 55) - (10 * 10)) = 54.08 mph __________________ Due to lack of interest, tomorrow has been canceled | ||
