pure tragedy with a new 2006 rubicon!!!!!

So here's my story:

I had a 1995 Wrangler that I bought new, and had kept it till earlier this year. Turns out to be the first time since i was 15 that I did not have a Jeep. I sold it to a guy that was going to give it to his son for a graduation gift.

3 weeks later............................I see my once pristine Jeep..................she had been over on her side hard!!!!! All kinds of stuff was destroyed, including thr hard top, drivers dooe & etc.

At that point guilt had set in......SO.......................fast forward about 6 months and that takes us to last week.

I was looking for something to replace my Jetta; maybe a new mustang, or a charger, or a nice used porsche boxter. I really couldnt maker my mind up, but I subscribe to the theory that when you are looking to make large purchases, when you see the right one for you, you will know immediatly!

So, I was surfing at work, anf thought judt for old times I should check out Jeep Wranglwe's for fun. Then it hit me..........THE RUBICON!!!! So onto research I went. After getting all the tech. specs digersted, I made my way up to the local Jeep deaLer. I sat down with my usual salesperson and came to a nice conclusion for trade numbers and vehicle price. Then I asked the magic question......."Whats planned for 2007". His reply........"ALL NEW". THIS SEALED THR DEAL!!! You see, I had a 1983 CJ-5, a 1986 CJ-7 and a 1995 YJ. All final years for the models.

So, I have the jeep on its way here frome some sort of dealer depot. It is exactly what I wanted, orange, dual tops, cruise control, Sirius radio, etc.

Now on with the tragedy........I have some serious elbow issues with my right arm. I was down at the Mayo clinic getting it checked up on, and seeing if there was any new procedures to reduce the chronic pain. Of course, there is a new procedure, and they decided to operate on Monday. Oh, and a word amout Mayo, not only is it an amazing place, but whrn you are there, you are on their schedule. What I am getting at, is that they move very fast once they decide to do something.

So, the bad news is........entire arm cast from the wrist to the shoulder!!!

Which means no shifting the 6 speed for about 6 weeks!!!!!

When I can finially drive, in 2 weeks due to all the drugs, I will have to drive the wife's Honda Element!!!!!!!

OH.......DID I MENTION THAT THE RUBICON WILL BE READY ON WEDNESDAY???

Tragedy I SAY, TRAGEDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can sit in it and make little sound effects while turninig the wheel back and forth. No shifting required. Post pictures when it arrives.
