Project YJ Ideas

Okay, I mostly need a place I can write this all down and organize it. You can post your opinions too, please, I encourage it!

Looking around AutoTrader, found this one:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...r=&cardist=140
Just needs engine and transmission. Would be nice to put in a rebuilt V8. Might end up more cost though.

Ultimately I'm looking for something more like this:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...r=&cardist=300
Everything is there, just might need an engine rebuild for peace of mind.

Those are both dirt cheap if you ask me, especially with the hard tops. You could probably get almost half of the cost of the vehicles just by selling the hardtops that come with them.

97 TJ. Full width D60 w/Detroit, Alloys and 5.89 gears. Full width D44 spooled, 60 outers, Warn lockouts. 6" Rock Krawler Gen II LA. 11 gallon cell behind the rear seat. 37" Maxxis Trepador competitions on 17" Stazworks double internals, blazay, blazay.....

That is very true! I kind of like the idea of getting them both and using the red body, then selling all the spare parts. Could probably get a good bit just selling the axles.

More planning!

OME Kit, pricey, but I'll save up for it.
Custom soft top. I'm a seamtress, so by custom I mean graphics and names embroidered on the top.
One hell of a roll cage, have to get that before I would start work on a soft top.

The idea for an embroidered logo:

Change something to whatever I'm going to call it... or just call it something YJ.

if you want to build , both would make a fine start. the second has a engine and trans you can sell of, but it look like it has some dents on the hood. sell the hard top and full doors. that gices you some extra $. by the time you hit the price tag of a new rubi, you'll have one hell of a jeep.

good luck

Now in the soccer mum class. Missing the YJ, but the KJ isn't bad...for now.

Not 100% sure, but I think the red one was sold. Have you called about it yet?

Not yet. I really have to hold off at the moment, have a month to kill off a $1,000 of CC dept.

Unless there are two of the exact same Jeep (I forgot to check the phone number), that Jeep is here in Butler.

If I had the cash, I'd be on that for sure.
