Profanity on 'edited' CD

So this is here for discussion. I bought a CD from Wal-Mart the other day. I wanted the clean version, i.e edited by their standards. Much to my surprise not every profane word is edited out. Yes, I don't listen to music with profanity, laugh all you want, its my choice. My questions is will they take it back once it is opened? I haven't had time to go back yet but I will tomorrow I think. I thought they were not allowed to sell music with profanity after a lawsuit or something like that? Flame suit on...and fire away!

The CD is 5FDP American Capitalist, they are pretty much my favorite band but I would like their music without the profanity. Hence why I gave the CD a try.

Its Wal mart, they'll likely take it back.

This reminds me of when I was like 11 years old. I bought Nirvana's 'In Utero' cassette tape at walmart and the song 'rape me' said 'wafe me' on the cover but the song was still original. Weird how I remember that 20 years later.

Well some people can only listen to the radio or CDs in their vehicles....

I feel sorry for those people.
I haven't bought a CD in years.

I still buy CDs despite using a flash drive even in my Jeep. I don't trust cloud technology enough to keep all my music from one day going *poof* and disappearing forever.

Profanity is the linguistic crutch of inarticulate mother****ers.

I haven't bought a CD in about 10 years, this was my first one since then. Yes, CD's is the only way I listen to music in my vehicle. I don't buy those stupidly over price music players. Never will.

I get that a lot. Plus video games. But they don't make bleeped out video games or Archer episodes. So taking out profane music is just one less thing I need to worry about.

They can still cuss just only with certain words like damn or ***.

It's like profanity on TV, kind of.

You could get Vince Vaughn to ride with you so he can earmuff you at the appropriate time.

So they edit the vulgarity and leave the profane words?

So they can take out one F word but leave another? Thats the problem with this CD, they edit out every F word but 2 and also a few other words. I dont get it.

Oh yeah I think there is an upper limit on f words. Once again, think about a PG-13 movie. It can say **** but only like 1 or 2 times before it becomes R-rated

Or in the case of "The King's Speech", it depends on the context of the used words.
