Al,

Check out

http://theonlinephotographer.com/the_online_photographer/blog_index.html

Look in the September archives, article "A Degree Can't Hold Your Hand". Links to article "Creative Living".

The online photographer is, IMHO, one of the better photo sites to hang around.

I'm not a pro, but thought you might to check it out.

Just for fun, I took photojournalism courses at a community college, the rest of the students that were there were majoring in photojournalism.

Just so you all know, If I think you're an ******* I will gladly tell you. I'm not your everyday girl, so don't expect me to act like one. And yeah, I do like it topless and dirty!

Quoted Jetscuh: "I really have to force myself to eat nuts. There are other forms of protein as well, but it can be hard making sure you get enough at times."

I'm not a "pro" photographer, however, I do portraits upon request.....mainly children....No No No(because someone will say it), not child porn, but actual portraits. I also sell handmade wooden furniture, picture frames, lamps, etc....etc....etc....anything that can be made from wood. I started putting landscapes and macro shots in my frames just for display. People started buying the frames for the actual display shot inside.....so I started selling shots with handmade frames to match the picture. I started shooting 35mm about 10 years ago. I didn't take any classes, but my college roommate had taken several photography courses over the years. He would give me his textbook and would basically teach me the course that he just took. I finally broke down and got into digital photography a little over a year ago. For me it was almost like starting over because I had limited computer experience, so I had to learn computer post processing, as well as, an entire new type of camera. Classes are NEVER a bad idea, but practice practice practice. Camera forums are a wealth of information and photography tips. Oh, did I say practice....learning to develop an eye for good images, light quality, angles, and exposure is everything. For instance, my GF has a pretty good DSLR Fugifilm camera that I gave her a couple of years ago. However, she made no effort to learn properly and she can't understand why all her shots look like cheap snapshots. She's always envious of my images and says it's all because my camera cost $1,000 MORE than hers. Better image quality....yes. Better images....no...that's all experience. Sorry for the long read...I'm really into photography....as a hobby that makes me a few extra $$$$ here and there.

Same here. I took a HS photo class. Loved it. I've never sold photos per-say, but I've been paid to do some. Mostly for friends and what not. Most of the photos I've done are of the wife in viruses ways. B&W are my favorite.

I'd like to do more if I had the time.
