Thanks, I was about 100 to 150 ft. The bears go up there to eat army cutworm moths. We saw 6 grizzlies up there that day. This sub-adult was cooling off on the snow...as was I.

That'd be a rush to be that close. The biggest thing to remember is to be down-wind. Their nose works better than their eyes.

True.. so true

There is a general aviation airport flightcorridor that goes right by our balcony. The airport has a fully restored DC3 based there every summer between May- September, and they usually fly it a couple times a week. Every time it takes off or lands it goes by our apartment. Those P&W Twin Wasp engines give me goosebumps every time I hear 'em

Had to create a movie and poster for my image manipulation class so I used the comic book that the wife and I are making. Went with a film noir style with this one (had to make a second completely different version too but no photography was involved) its not 100% but pretty close. Also the compression of the image is pretty bad with this upload so please excuse that

Mountain Madness Airshow 2014 in Kalispell, Montana. We were happy to be invited to join the party of one nice guy, who has a house right by the airport fence - on the restricted area closed by the police officers

Nice views

We will probably be renting a built JK when we get down to Moab, UT. If so, expect to see some action shots from the Jeep heaven

Hey, that's my neck of the woods! You should definitely head over to Glacier Natl. Park this weekend! Come to think of it, my family is up there right now. So weird!
