Money can buy happiness. The front gate probably cost more than the average yearly median income today, and it was built back in the late 1800's....

Have you seen the other Vanderbuilt house? The yard is 8000 acres!

Well thank you I can only hope that some of us will get to meet face to face someday so we'd get to know each other just a little better.

That is the main home? The one in RI is just a little summer cottage on 13 acres.
I'm glad I don't have to mow THAT lawn. By the time you finished you would have to start over again. lol
Opulence at it's finest. My meager 10K sq/ft house on five acres is a slum compared to that place.
I kinda' miss that show Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous with Robyin Leech. It was MUCH better than MTV's Cribs.

I think its also a recreation property of the Vanderbilt family. 4 Acres of interior floor space . If you are ever in North Carolina - I highly recommend seeing it.

Working on homemade valentines cards

The red heart is deliberately blank so they can write their names in it...makes it even more personnal...and handmade in the USA

Fresh snow this morning. Pretty chilly, if you picture a face on the front of the ZJ, it looks like her lips are frozen. But with the new tires she gets around pretty good on the ice.
