We cover this kind of stuff at least once a week in the kids' classes and the adult classes. I personally have been arrested four times for fighting and I didn't start it. I was never booked or convicted fortunately. Witnesses can be helpful, or a hindrance if you start it.
I have stood in a courtroom as a defendant twice for putting somebody in the hospital. One of them will never be able to have children and he tried to sue me in a civil court, even tho' he started the fight. Judge wouldn't hear the case because of witness reports.
Point is, just because you CAN f somebody up, doesn't mean you should.
My son is focused on a carreer with the NSA and Special Forces or Seals to get there. He reads books and cyber info about it all the time. I told him the chushy job is Secret Service. He says no.
Judo is a great art. I studied it for a little over a year. Just too limited for me. Fun as hell tho'. Now everybody is into BJJ and MMA stuff. Matt is doing boxing and then BJJ as soon as he reaches Black Belt next year in KFSS. I won't even go into what he has had as far as weapons training already. He owns more weapons than I do! He is way better than I was at that level. Kids. They are invincible.
Sory to eat up the thread.
Really interesting.

Just proves a point I have always had, never start a fight, and if you have to start a fight, never start one with an unknown person.

He or she might just end up to be someone trained like this!

Yikes.

Great job and great kiddo!
Thanks. I do appreciate it.

VERY good point! To look at me in street clothes you would think I'm just an average old man. You have no idea what somebody knows. Worse yet, what weapon they are willing to use on you. And then an 11yo that can tear you in half is even scarier.
I only fight when I HAVE to now. I was a hooligan as a youth. Amazing I never got killed. Did get my arse handed to me a few times tho'.
Moreover the legal ramifications now are really bad. Back when I was a youth it was just mischief. Now it's assault. Not worth it unless you HAVE to. Walk away. Humility is king.

7 inches of snow at the beach today. the world shut down for at least 2 days, we will see if anyone can get to work on Friday.
I had fun though. She is a vintage 440 Kawasaki Invader and days like today I own all the roads but the main highways! I really look forward to the day or two a year I get to use her...the rest of the time I have to keep squirrels from making nests in the engine bay.

He did a demonstration fighting three full grown adults (one at a time but constant battle). He tore them up. He had them on the ground in less than three seconds and was stepping on their necks or stomping on them.
His timing is amazing, his targeting and technique are perfect, his foundation (footwork) is solid. He's only 11yo and he could easily take out a full grown man. Ask me how i know.
I cannot imagine how lethal he will be at age 18. The style I teach is absolutely no rules, kill or maim, dirty bastard five thousand year old Kung Fu.
It's the same thing special forces and NSA agents use. Kill them quickly, move along.
With that in mind, he has to do these techniques with precision and huge control at all times.
Yep, I'm proud of him. And if you met him, you would never know he's deadly.

(the old fart in the pic is me)

EDIT: He can use a lot of those weapons on the wall very well also. To him, everything is a weapon.
You should edit that last saying to : "GOODLOOKING old fart"
