Thanks! It's taken using a Panasonic TZ10 and is one of the very few pictures I've liked from the camera. I often find myself having to retake a lot of pictures due to not liking the contrast, saturation or exposure levels, but I liked that one as soon as I took it.
I do a lot of the same. I try not to use Photoshop or any other editing software either, so all of the pictures I post are straight from the camera. No editing. But the contrast on that shot was great! Reminds me of the filters and such they use on Top Gear. That's one of the many reasons I LOVE that show so much!
A couple of shots from the Oregon Coast near Haystack Rock I took this summer. Sunrises and sunsets offer (me, at least) the best opportunity for shooting just about everything. On top of the light being phenomenal, most wildlife is out and about during these hours. If you can combine these two elements, you have yourself one amazing shot, my friend.
