Thanks! That was my first time trying it. I'm pretty happy with the result except for the beer spillage on the can. It exploded when I opened it because it was warm. Haha. Also wish the head were thicker on the full Guinness. Took too long setting up lights. I'm going to a Metropolitan Community College. They're pretty well known around here for their excellent photography program.

I'm doing their audio/video degree though. I just take a lot of their photo classes on the side. :-)

Just pour the beer more vigorous next time, Guinness has a pretty decent head retention or try double IPA they will retain the head and lace the glass for as long as the beer sits.

Yeah, you can say I'm pretty familiar with Guinness. The thing is, though, I watched a YouTube video about photographing beer and the guy said to stir the beer with a chopstick to create a nice head, something about the wood reacting with the beer creates head. Well, apparently with Guinness, it kills the head. Oops.

Probably because Guinness has nitrogen instead of CO2 for carbonation.

I love my school. It's cheap and 99% of the instructors are amazing. They're always willing to go out of their way to help you out.

I just checked out your flickr and am now following you. Wonderful photography!

And here is a nice photo of my neighborhood today.

This is what you get when it gets warmer and there is still 3 feet of snow on the ground.

Not sure on the science of it, but it is crazy.

Visibility at about 10 feet.
