Popeye Cartoon and "THE JEEP"

So I'm on Kazaa downloading random Jeep videos. I saw this one that was a Popeye Cartoon titled "THE JEEP".

You know what "THE JEEP" is??

it's a ******* DOG!. Yeah, that's right, this black and white Popeye cartoon is about a freaking magic dog. I hope to God the term for Jeep didn't come anywhere from there.

WTF???

shat...I knew this was going to happen...

meh....from the sounds of it, I think there's been about 1.2 million discussions on this. I think the conclusion was that it was a combo between the GP sound and "Eugene the Jeep" that was on Popeye.
I just flipped my lid when the dog and the name of the episode was named "JEEP".

grrr

DOH!!!

All this time hearing about "Eugene the Jeep" I thought it was like a cartoonish talking Jeep that was featured in Popeye or something.

The old "Jeep is from GP" story is a myth.

The Ford "GP" was actually a competitor of the Willys vehicle for the army contracts.
