Well here is the one thing that has ALWAYS puzzled me about this area of MD, even since I was a kid in elementary school. Where the hell did all of these COWBOYS fans come from????

"I'm a DIEHARD Cowboys fan, though I've never been to Texas I flew over it once....yada yada yada. My 'Boys are gonna beat up on the Skins..yada yada yada."

I just can't figure it out man, they are everywhere around here. It's almost like its the "cool thing to do" just because they are the Skins biggest rival. It's like if you don't like the Skins you do the next best thing to annoy the hell out of them. I'm not a Skins fan obviously and it annoys the hell out of me lol.

But i can't explain all those other fans out there haha. I ****ing hate the skins though. I can't tell you where all the cowboys fans came from though.

Crawl it. There will be no need to say "I told you so."....you obviously, haven't seen there schedule.

Even if they suck, which they don't, they should get in. It's cake compared to last year.

Don't hate our teams because they actually develop players and don't Buy them.
Technicaly that is not completly accurate. If you are talking about the Pirates then you are right about the low payroll. Couple that with terrible management and ownership and you have the Buccos.

However, the Steelers are right up against the salary cap and I believe that the Pens are too. So really they are spending the same as most of the other teams in thier leagues.

I understand what you were getting at, Pittsburgh is a small market and is at a disadvantage, at time, when it comes to spending money. PNC Park doesnt' sell out unless there are fireworks so the Pirates don't have a ton of money coming in, although I think they do alright. The Steelers sell out everything and have a waiting list that is forever long for season tickets. Combine the income with one of the best, if not the best, ownership groups in any sport and you have the most Lombardi trpohies in NFL history.

All that random crap being said, as a baseball/Pirate fan I think the city can be a great baseball city again if the ownership wants that. But what the ownership wants is up for debate.

Have to admit I have been to Pittsburg once. It was a pretty cool city.
Really do not understand the putting fries and coleslaw on top of everything though.
First day we were there we had a pizza with fries and coleslaw on it, thought it was not bad. By the time we left we were sick of it.

fries and slaw belong on Primanti bros. sandwiches and that's about it. Nothing worse than going somewhere and seeing a "Pittsburgher" sandwich on the menu. You are not Primantis, you will never be Primantis, please stop trying.

Oh and just as an aside you have to add egg and hot sauce to that Capicola masterpiece

From 412, they changed me to 724 as a kid.
anyway, I thought Primanti's was it, until a friend had me try a Foster House (local bar/sandwich joint) King Cap one day. WOW!
Don't care if you're talkin' the strip, the one by century 3, the one off 30 in north versailles....this King Cap creams the Bros.

Kind of like when we were in Oakland one night and stopped at a restaurant to get some food and I decided to get the "Maryland Crab Cakes". Bad mistake on my part, I do agree though that other states should not try to imitate local specialties...leave it up to the originators. That being said, I've had a Philly Cheesesteak from Geno's when I visited a friend in Philadelphia....it sucked. Steak roll, some steak and cheez wiz and you call it a local specialty??? No thank you!

When I was living in Indiana (45 min. east of the Burgh) there was a local shop called Steel City Sammiches and they tried to replicate a Primanti Bros. sandwich....they failed miserably. I'm not a big fan of cole slaw either so everytime I went to Primanti bros. and ordered it without I always got weird looks of course.

Just took this pic last night when I went to Rib Fest at Heinz Field. The Clarks also played for free too.

And a pic for the Pens, This is Bill Guerin on the South Side, the day after the Stanley Cup win.

What's next -- reminiscing about the glory days when you scored four touchdowns in one game at Polk High?
