Please tell me you aren't a Caps fan though? Regardless tell me why exactly you hate the Pens. Reason I ask is that I heard that same thing from so many of the "diehard" Caps fans down here and when I asked them they couldn't give me a straight legit answer. Oh btw...I put diehard in quotes because 2 years ago nobody gave a crap about Caps hockey and after moving back home suddenly EVERYBODY was a diehard fan who had been following the team for years. Riiiiiiight

All they could do was run their mouths about how Ovechkin was like a skating Jesus and after the Pens crushed them in game 6 all I heard was silence and all I saw was Caps jerseys for sale on craigslist.

Awesome vid. 2010 year of the repeat, now if only the pirates would get on board

If your a pittsburgh fan your not a baseball fan, football and hockey are what keeps that city functioning.
Last year I was in pittsburgh to see family and there was nothing but black and gold jerseys everywhere..I mean they had banners hanging from toll booths, buildings etc. It was awesome, definitley one of the most passionate citys when it comes to football and hockey. Been a steelers fan before birth, its in my blood

Honestly truer words were never spoken, the city lives and breaths through their sports teams and its definitely an awesome experience to be a part of. Your absolutely right about baseball though, I went into the city a week ago to see a friend and realized that there was a Pirates night game. The fear of hitting traffic on the return crept up on me and then I realized that...wait...nevermind....THE PIRATES are playing....I'm good to go haha.

i have been a caps fan since i was 5 so...yeah im pretty "diehard" ahaha

I hate the pens because they are a whiny team. ever since they picked up crosby they just turned into a bunch of whiney *****es. And yes DC has a lot of fair weather caps fans...so does every city.

it was a sports year for pitt...i'll give em that

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and no one EVER talks trash about our teams until we win a championship. We have one of the lowest payrolls of any city in any league and still get it done. The Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates put together probably have a lower payroll than the Yankees, and they can't seem to BUY a championship as of late. Don't hate our teams because they actually develop players and don't Buy them.

I'm sorry but DC just seemed to have way more bandwagon fans for Caps hockey than alot of cities/teams I've seen in the past. The "whiney *****es" complaint seemed to be the number one thing I heard from them as well, yet again nobody had anything solid to back it up with...just kept saying it because everyone else was. One period into game 6 I didn't hear one Caps fan saying another word though.

Sad but very true, as soon as the Steelers won the SB again last season they were suddenly being compared to the Patriots. Roethlisberger had suddenly become the new Tom Brady all because people were mad that they had won 2 SB's in 3 years.

Well regardless....they do cry a lot...whether you refuse to believe it or not. I Just have never liked pittsburgh teams and thats my opinion..

cant wait for this season.
