picts. new roll cage going in.

Installing a new roll cage

1/4 angle iron

windshield still bolts up

raised front bar for head clearance

will be able to remove the whole front section in one unit

door surrounds will still work, removable, still a ways to go.

It looks like it is bolted into the dashboard, kind of like the OR-FAB version.

Yes, it used the factory mounts to bolt it to the windshield. Otherwise the windshield has only one mounting bolt at the bottom of the windshield to hold it in place. I figured that when you are driving off road it would wear the bolts out real fast and the windshield would start to rattle. So I decided to stay with the windshield mounts at the top too.

Yes it does bolt into the dash, then will go down to the floor. Bolt through the floor and to the frame. I didn't want to drill out the dash and loose the air vents and I didn't want a tube going through the floor causing air and or water leaks. Also this way I can still unbolt the cage and remove it if I need to. the front half will be able to be removed from the rear half.

All high strengh tubing. Cold roll DOM and 1\4 inch steel.

1982 Bobbed CJ8 project. So far just a custom frame and Rubicon Express suspension.
