photographers get a look at this.

i just picked up this new lens for my camera. this thing can be adapted to most any digital camera, and the quality is FANTASTIC! it is even better than i anticipated.take a look at these pictures.

bear in mind when looking at these, that they are all taken from the same place. i am leaning up against the spare tire on my wifes jeep.

this shot is with te camera in normal mode with no soom.

this one is with the camera zoomed i to its max.

now here is where things get crazy! the next shot is with this new fandango zoom lens on the camera.

now... you are starting to get the idea... bear in mind, now that this is a run of the mill camera.. well, maybe not "run of the mill" but it is very compact. it is a canon s400 4.0 mp digital camera.

that shot just blows me away! all 4 of those are from the same position leaning against the tire. now, i'm sure if i had a tripod, i could have made that last one a bit clearer, but it is pretty difficult to hold that still.

the picture above is the camera i used for all of these photos.

this is the lens that i used to get such ZOOM.
if anyone is interested in where, or how much... this is the place.

How well is the camera balanced with the lens on front?

Those are huge pictures by the way.

Q) How does it connect to your camera?

Q) the pictures seem a little dark; is that the lens or just dark out?

Found a review here: http://www.steves-digicams.com/sharpshooter.html

The pictures seem a bit dark/washed out. That and the quality actually is pretty icky.

i kinda agree...nothing is crisp. that might be because like you said you don't have a tripod though and were shakin a little bit. very impressive zoom though!

I have this camera too and love it.

Does the lens just sit on the little erection that comes out of the camera when you turn it on? I love photography and only recently have gotten serious about it. How much do those lenses cost? They are freaking awesome.

Nice pics!

the pictures are dark because i have the speed set so fast.. that darkens them. that is the only way i could get them kind of sharp besides.. these are the first pictures i took with this thing. i'm sure, when i get a tripod, and some experience with the camera, and lens... the pics will be awesome.
we'll see... i'll post some more as i take them.
