I live across the street from a roman catholic church, there is no sidewalk along one side of my house. People always pull off the pavement next to my house and its killing the grass and it keeps receding farther and farther. The congestion also takes up all of the parking. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I can do.

Walk across the street and ask the priest to announce that the parishoners shouldn't park there. If they continue to park there, while they're in the mass, put satanic bumper stickers on their cars.

Put spikes down in your yard. Or those big welded "X"s they used to stop tanks in WW2

put a little fence up thats only a foot or two high right along the edge. Or steal some jerrsy barriers

What Rob said except have them towed if they're multiple offenders (you can tell by the bumper stickers). Stick up "Private Property, No Parking" signs everywhere.

Put up a little fence or some wooden property markers with the orange tops. Cheap and effective.

Way back in 1985 (yeah, I'm showing my age ) I purchased my first home on a corner lot. Had the neighbors kid start tearing up a good section of my side yard. First asked his father, then the son to stop parking on it. After a week (and two other requests), I found some rather large but decorative rocks and placed them at three foot intervals along the property line. 3am comes around and I hear the sound of his oil pan scraping one of the rocks and some quite colorful and imaginative words coming out of the drivers mouth....Funny, he never again tried to park on my grass again

Easy and cheap. That is what I did when I got sick of the renters next door using the area of my yard between the sidewalk and road as an acceleration zone.
