Eh, send me a certified letter, and maybe I'll care.

There is one "FATAL FLAW®" with the theroy proposed by member "FATAL FLAW" got_4_low. We baked the springs aroung 190-200 F for merely 45 minutes. At these temperatures the molecules in the steel would not mobilize therefore stress relief of the springs could not occur.
Furthurmore, member WenieD does not expect that the spring rate would be affected until temperature were high enough to create carburization and spheroidization.

Member "FATAL FLAW" got_4_low's input is appreciate.

Sidenote: member got_4_low is to be referred to as member "FATAL FLAW" got_4_low until Q3 2007.
I'm a mechanical engineer too I didn't see that it was only 200F, and thought that you were baking it at 400 or 500F - in which case I would argue that yes, you would have changed the spring rates and chemical properties. but 200F at 90min is still some intense heat to put it through. At the very least, I would argue that you may not have weakened the springs to a point of breakage, but you have lowered the spring rate slightly.

Alas, as I'm sure you know, in situations like this (heat treating, heat deformation), Empirical data is used more often than Theoretical calcualtions becuase of so many variables. So I expect you to post a follow-up in a little while.

P.S: If anyone should be called fatal flaw, it's you since you spent all this time painting them and didn't even use a matching color. For all that work, you could have simply baught Fabtech coils that come pre-painted blue.

Member FATAL FLAW got_4_low's opinion has now garnered member Wenie D's respect. Please note that the bake time was 45 minutes. Somehow fatal flaw got_4_low keeps missing numbers.
Bases on the new distance from the bumpstops to the axles, it would appear that the lift netted 2. 75 inches over stock.

As far as matching colors are concerned...please once again remember that these springs are not on Member WenieD's jeep. Member WenieD was simply helping out a friend. The color of the springs match the color of the bump shock boots and the color of the D-ring shackels on PISTOL GIBSON's jeep.
Member WenieD perfers black springs.

member got_4_low's sentence has now been reduced.
Administration and jeepforum.com members are to only refer to member got_4_low as "FATAL FLAW" got_4_low until the end of Q1 2007

Doesn't take a Mechanical Engineer to figure that one out...

I call shenanigans on member WenieD's photos of his friend Pistol. Clearly in the first photo, said friend has three teeth. However, in the following photo, his teeth have multiplied to seven. I believe that somehow member WenieD has falsified these photos and demand a refund.

HolidayJeepy is very ovservartive. Pistol gibson had put his paul wall grill in his mouth just before the pose photo. The grill makes it look like more teeth are in place.

Thank you for your observations.

WenieD is Crazy.

WenieD posts in 3rd person.

WenieD did a nice paint job on his springs.

People think the way WenieD types is funny.

WenieD enjoys this and continues in funny manner.
