My CJ-7 is the factory tawney orange. Can I get a number, maybe #4?

Not my Jeep, but my color. When I repaint I am gong to reapply the factory reproduction renegade decals.

I just found out a couple weeks ago that they only made 703 of the Amber Fire (or _orange_, for those who prefer that word ) Cherokees.

That's a smaller production number than even my brother's yellow 'n black collector's edition Firebird, so I guess mine would be a "collectors edition" too.

I dunno, but I see quite a few more of those than the Cherokees.

Wow, that few, huh? We had 4 of them here. They were the last to go. looked like an orange tootsie pop.

Chrysler has a strange habit of discontinuing colors in mid stream and dropping the best sellers. the BEST XJ color was Chili Pepper Red.

I prefer the term "unique". I've had quite a few people comment on how nice it looks, and quite a few people while I'm driving asking what color it is. Even a few rice cars have pulled up beside me and asked "Hey, who did your paint job?" I just had to say "Uh.. the factory?"
