From one newbie to another

Just wanted to say hello from one Newbie to another and give some words of caution or advice.

The JK is a great Jeep and you will enjoy your purchase. This forum can help you answer almost any question that may come up however too much reading can also cause a little anxiety!

Some would have you to believe if you add a few pounds of air to the tires you will need 5:13 gears to get out of the garage. Others may suggest you should remove the hood so you can constantly listen for "the tick" and add oil every 100 miles! Don't be discourage!

If you haven't purchased a Jeep yet, this forum can help you make decisions about which model is best for your intended use and if you have one, the forum is invaluable support. But please, don't let some dialog keep you from joining the Jeep family. They are tons of fun and hold value great. If you like to modify and even go to extremes, they are probably the best platform for that. I bought mine with lots of plans to modify but the longer I have it, the more I like it just the way it is. Either way, I'm happier every day with this purchase.

Don't forget 5 point harnesses if you plan on doing any type of offroading. Even if its just a dirt lot.
