Whoo hooo!
Scored a free hottub from a friend of mine from HS today! 9x9 was too big for his deck, and he even offered to deliver it for me! WHOOT!
I had a 7x7 Jacuzzi model with the ex wife in the house we owned, and when we split I moved out to the house I grew up in, and have been missing my hottub ever since. When we bought the hottub, the dealer told us 80% of the people who buy 'em don't use 'em, and 20% actually use them. Well, I was in the 20%. My ex was in the 80%. I loved my hottub, relax a bit in the morning to wake up, outside, regardless if it was summer or winter.. First snowfall meant a call into work and relaxing in the hottub in the snow. And it would wind you down and put you to sleep under a starry night. Yes, I truly enjoyed my hottub. And she got it with the house.. And never used it. Go figure.
So now I have one coming, and I know just where it's going, and I get to pour a pad for it. Going right off the left side of my deck so its half sunken essentially, or just a step up and in, instead of sitting on top of the deck (deck is about 24-30" off the ground).
Just gotta wait for the last 12" of snow to melt, and he'll bring it over. I'll do the pad this spring (after the ground thaws and I can pour concrete) and I'll have a hottub again before long!
