Yeah between my brother and I we have had hundreds of em. I gave my maroon TJ to a nephew like a month before I started this thread. I could not for the life of me find one in the city so I had to buy one on eBay for like $30 plus like 15 for shipping and tax. Add another 8 for it's first send off and I'm way over budget. But I can't remember a Jeep project that stayed on budget!

Cost me $8 to ship from NY to Cali, just bring it wheeling and have a few buddies chip in a buck!

Well the Official Traveling Jeep (OTJ?) landed in SoCal several days ago and I've been too busy and weather's been not the best, hence the delay. As you may have seen, it's a lovely stock white pre-2003 Sahara with manual transmission and he'd top. I must confess that while I'm not one who likes rules and is very good at finding loopholes, I'll be sending it on to the next in line with "all original equipment," but a couple of items won't be on the vehicle. I do think all will like the mods (on the OTJ they're mods, on my rig they're SOP) that are happening.

Here's it is showroom condition and the traversing the back yard terrain.

In just couple of hours from now the Dremel will have served its purpose and we'll enjoying a photo op near the water. Stay tuned...

Yeah, sorry for the delay, but I had to go to the shop for some parts for the lift.

I'm hoping I'll have this on may 12th. A bunch of us are planning a ride that day. We got about 24 Jeeps going, it'd be awesome to be able to bring the traveling jeep along for the ride. and it'd make for some great photo ops.

I don't think that would be a problem, looks like flyin has it wrapped up today.
