Let's hope that y'all can pick it up this year. I want to see a strong SEC for the '09 season and I'm always ready for a saturday in Athens. Go Dawgs!

Yeah i really hope we can, too. Although, with a questionable QB it is going to be hard all, i can hope for is that Lane Kiffin has whipped Cromton into shape. i am very eager to see if Bryce Brown will make some kind of impact this year and hopefully our WR and OL will step it up. I really hope GA beats FL this year, your team is looking good and i have heard good things about Joe Cox. Sadly i don't think TN stands a chance against FL this year and all the media hype that game has got, its going to look bad if FL just blows us out of the water.

I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hell of an Engineer
A Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva Engineer
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear.
I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an Engineer

Oh, if I had a daughter, sir, I'd dress her in white and gold,
And put her on the campus To cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I'll tell you what he'd do--
He'd yell: 'TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!' Like his daddy used to do.

Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum, and Sugar three thousand pounds
A college bell to put it in, And a clapper to stir it round.
I'd drink to all the good fellows, who come from far and near.
I'm a Ramblin', Gamblin', HELL OF AN ENGINEER!

Fight! Win! Drink! Get Naked!

Gig'em Aggies!!! Yeah we suck but hopefully we're turning it around and will make it to a bowl game this year. I can't wait for NCAA '10 next month either.

UK grad here, we should be good for another 7 or so win season. Have never been a great team, but still love to watch and attend games. Theres nothing like the SEC where the worst team can still pull in 60,000+ fans a game. I love football season but around these parts its just something to do til basketball begins .

I'm a Virginia Tech Alum so I'm a very loyal VT football fan and while I am always skeptical when VT enters the season with any hype, I'm hoping for the best and the start of College Football is always the best day of the year for me. GO HOKIES!!

Don't worry, Tyler, I got your back.

Wish that I was on ol' Rocky Top
Down in the Tennessee hills
Aint' no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top
Ain't no telephone bills
Once I had a girl on Rocky Top
Half bear, other half cat
Wild as a mink,
but sweet as soda pop
I still dream about that.

Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee

Once two strangers climbed ol' Rocky Top
Lookin' for a moonshine still
Strangers ain't come down from Rocky Top
Reckon they never will

Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee

Corn won't grow at all on Rocky Top
Dirt's too rocky by far
That's why all the folks on Rocky Top
Get their corn from a jar

Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee

I've had years of cramped-up city life
Trapped like a duck in a pen
All I know is it's a pity life
Can't be simple again

Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee

I hope we beat Florida too (as I do every year). I got to go to Jacksonville for the first time in 2007 when we beat the crap out of them, it was the best game outside Sanford Stadium (Best being the Auburn Blackout game, not the Alabama Blackout, was at that one too). I am a very die hard fan, most of my family went to Georgia, as did I, and I'm also an Athens Native so Georgia football is in my blood. I am also a huge SEC fan and would always rather watch an SEC game if Georgia is not on, and I always want the SEC in the National Championship (though its very hard seeing Florida win). I am hoping the SEC will go up against Southern Cal so we can beat them.

I just hope Georgia remembers how to tackle this off-season. The G-Day game gave me some hope on that front. I don't think Joe Cox will be spectacular but he won't lose the game for Georgia like whoever was hurling balls last year for Auburn.

Funny how I became a Georgia fan. I grew up in Dallas during SMU's prime with Eric Dickerson and the best team money could buy. One year, we had tickets to the Cotton Bowl. That same season Bama mopped the floor with the Pony Express so there was no way I was going to cheer for Texas to beat an SEC team. I was a Georgia fan at that Cotton Bowl. About 6 or 7 years later we moved to Georgia and eventually I went to college at UGA, mainly because of the brand-new-at-the-time Hope Grant. I applied to Texas and was accepted but couldn't justify the tuition difference. When I'm not cheering for Georgia, I tend to have a soft spot for the old SWC teams (except for A&M), especially current lower-tier teams like SMU and TCU. my cheering order goes something like this:

1. Georgia
2. SMU, TCU, Houston, Rice, Arkansas, Texas
3. Rest of the SEC
4. Texas Tech, Baylor
.....
1,000,223,341. Timothy McVeigh
1,000,223,342. Saddam Hussein
1,000,223,343. Osama bin Laden
1,000,223,344. Texas A&M
1,000,223,345. Georgia Tech
