Never listened to O and A so it's not gonna hurt me any. XM is great for those long road trips across the country I do once or twice a year. Also no commercials on the stations I listen to. Factory satellite radio FTW!

I've never heard them but they can't be better than Bob & Tom.

Not to hijack the thread, but why do you think sirius is better? I've noticed that I've been listening to my xm less and less and was wondering if maybe it's just crappy programming...

I can't personally say that Sirius is better, but I keep hearing it from people that have had both, and I LOVE my Sirius, so I believe it. A friend at work had Sirius in his old truck, traded it in for a new one that came with XM. He's thinking about getting Sirius again even though XM is already paid for a full year. Specifically, he said the XM rock station sucks, and after listening to the Sirius rock channel some more at work (I use my Sirius login to listen online at work) he said it's way better than his XM stations.

Sirius owns XM, no comparison in my mind.

I listen to Sirius a lot at work. In some ways it's really good, but in some ways it's really, really annoying. For example, I'm 28 years old, so I like to listen to the 90s alternative station. It's the same 25 songs from the same 12 bands over and over. Me and my office mate actually take bets on when they're going to play a Bush song next. Listening to this station, you'd never figure that Bush only released 2 albums in the 90s. Also, the 70s station is atrocious. You go from Grand Funk Railroad straight to Donna Summer. *BARF* But Sirius Blues and Sirius Real Jazz are great stations, but then again they don't have to worry about playing "hits." I wish, though, that these stations would play songs I haven't heard or weren't radio hits instead of recycling the same crap that was on Top 40 radio whenever the music actually came out.

I could care less. I never listened to 'em when they were signed on, and still will not tune to the virus if they are booted.

This is why I listen to XM. MUCH better playlists, and they're not afraid to dig deep for the lesser known great music.

If you like frequent repitition, or are a sports junkie, Sirius is better. However, if you like a truly broad selection of music, XM owns Sirius.

My primary channels on XM are:

80's on 8 (decades pop)
Cinemagic (movie soundtracks)
XM Pops (classical)
Squizz (hard rock)
Top Tracks (classic rock)
U.S. Country (contemporary country)
XM Liquid Metal (heavy metal)
Boneyard (hard rock)
XM Chill (electronica)
Audio Visions (mood music)
XM Comedy 150 (uncensored comedy)

When I'm in the mood for talk while on the road, I'll put it on Fox to catch Bill O'Riley and Hannity and Colmes in the evening, or Channel 124 during the day to catch Mark Davis, Sean Hannity, Larry Elder, and Mark Levin.

Of course, the DFW traffic and weather channel gets used on the rare occasion I may have to deal with rush hour traffic.

Spend some time to actually listen to the other channels. You almost have to be trying to not find something to like on XM.

I cancelled sirius when I found out that O&A were going to XM. I certainly hope they aren't going to be cancelled.

I must admit that they were better when I could tune into 102.7 WNEW.
