If you are comparing a Xterra to any SFA Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee (xj, zj, wj) i only can say one word; IFS! Its no competition man. Any of those jeeps will walk all over any IFS vehicle, Xterra or 4Runner of whatever. And they are so much cheaper and more simple to lift. Fully modded rock crawlers don't count in the yota or nissian corner, because they all have SFA swaps anyway. If your looking for a DD/wheeler then grab any Cherokee pre 2005 model year and go to town. Its too bad so many manufactures are moving away from SFA, even Jeep only has the wrangler left, whcih isent the best DD if you have to haul stuff and whatnot.

Hey if it's got 4 wheels, an engine, and offroad tires, wheel on.

I'd like to see a solid front axle run the Baja 1000. There's a reason why seldom few are stupid enough to run it.

I just wanted to post a pic of my buddy's rig in a general discussion thread. Also I'm sure that his xterra will out wheel 99.9% of solid axle Cherokee's in my area.

Theres more then you think that run sfa through the deserts.... before you post something dumb look it up. 1700 and 3700 class are sfa... a few class 8s are sfa..... my setup isnt even race ready and i still outrun most mild ifs setups

Heres a pic of a nissan we just built a bumper for.

Your confused read my post.... i quoted and responded. Then i posted a pic of a bumper we built for a nissan.... ifs has its place. Rock crawling isnt its strong suit. But there is alot more to wheeling the rock crawling... ie. Sand. Desert. Snow. Mud. Exploration....... all things they do well in.

If your still looking or considering an Xterra, my friend is selling his because he moved to Germany and is only home for maybe a few months out of the year. PM me for more info or check out the craigslist ad:
