Is NFL Football Fake?

What do you think the likelihood is that NFL football is fake as-in the winner is predetermined by the NFL higher ups based on marketing/rating value then that is passed to the referees to make calls to push towards a certain team winning. Players aren't in and they can't positively throw the game but the referees make calls to slant the game.

Similar to the NBA referees scandal.

Hmmm this could get interesting. I think it's hard to believe that anything in this world is legit anymore. Everyone is out to make money and will do just a bout anything to make more...

No way man... First of all, all of the game winning plays were legit. The onside kick, the 2-pt conversion and pic six by tracy porter. You can't plan that stuff, period. There's no way you could script that. If you think so, maybe you need one of these

I think that Refs can make or break a game. Im an eagles fan, and even though they played like *** the last two games against Dallas, there were a lot of bogus calls that took the wind out of thier sails early. I dont think they can plan the game, but they can certianly make it more difficult for one team to win over another. The Refs blew a lot of calls all through the playoffs, and that sure makes you think....

Can refs make bogus calls and make a win harder for one team than the other? Yes, and weather it is intentional or not it happens. Are the games scripted? No, way too many unpridictable variables.

No way is it predetermined, it would be impossible. Sure you can argue that refs can make it harder on teams and some calls are bogus or wrong, but you have to think from the refs point of view. You have 24 huge players on a field in full pads and helmets and your stuck in the middle with a hat, whistle and flag. They dont have all day to make calls and they cant go look at replays for every call. There are missed calls, wrong calls, questionable calls in every game, and thats because they call it how they see it from their point of view, which can be blocked, or look different then we see it when they show the replay 32098472 times.

Maybe I would should revise. Not fake as-in wrestling but just like the NBA referee scandal.

The higher ups tell the referees to make calls to push towards a certain team winning. The teams play their hardest but the referees do what they can without being too obvious to slant the game towards who the Executives want to win.

NFL never would have implemented the video review if it were fake. Corruption in refs? sure theres always going to be a few that slip into the mix. And why would teams go after the big players if its fake. doesnt matter who you put out there if its fixed.

There have been plenty of times in the past that a ref's call could make or break a football game. If some of those refs were handed a bit of extra incentive on the side, that is all speculation until proven. All sports have those issues.

In regards to the NFL being fake, I don't see the sport being fake. There are players on teams that don't give it 100% every time they step on the field that harms the chances of winning, but to call it fake is something else.

The SuperBowl was full of taking chances by Sean Payton and the Saints. That game made him a hero for the plays called. On the opposite side, if they didn't get that onside kick, he would be crucified forever.

I agree somewhat with the bad ref argument. watch closely on the linemen in every game. i bet 85% of the plays have holding somewhere. How do the refs choose when to call it, unless its an obvious call?
