New jersey fender laws

I am going back home to New Jersey for a new inspection sticker.
My jeep has cut fenders and no rear bumper. My tires don't stick out more than an inch.

I read in a few threads its hit or miss but that was from 2009. How strict are they now?

They do have vehicle inspections in NJ. My tires stick out about an inch and they didn't give me any hassle. The bumper thing I'm not too sure of, they may hit you for that.

i doubt you have any trouble wit th tires sticking out an inch. we used to be able to drive pick ups with out a rear bumper , don't know if that has changed.

I had a '94 YJ with 3.5" Superlift and 33s when I leved there back in the 90s. Xenon flares pretty much gave full coverage, never had an issue with the inspections. One thing did happen, the 33s wouldn't be stable on one stations dyno. They gave me a pass but said next time they'd fail the rig if it wouldn't stay put on the dyno. I moved to CO before that had to be repeated.
