I was referring to the points he made about being a more prepared society. A society more ready to protect itself.

Damn straight! 3000 people died in New York so we could invade Iraq and if you've got a problem with that you can just go to Hell, terrorist lover!

I'm more concerned with the wacko that has the illegal gun hidden illegally that gets drunk and doesn't like my Jeep. That is the reason for having a CCW, not the legal guy.

Well obviously from myself who carries, my first statement to the college shootings was, "Too bad somebody wasn't carrying and could have taken him out quickly".

Peace through strength man!

This has no relevance to this debate. It's funny how people losing the arguement start using sarcasm to sway the debate from the topic at hand.

Do you really feel that people in college should carry guns.

They most likely won't shoot each other at the same time, like in the movies, one of them will win and one will lose. Turn off the TV, my friend.

I feel that anybody that is legally able to obtain a permit should be able to carry concealed anywhere they want. You must be 21 to get one, so, high school students are out.

Contrary to what books and movies say, the wild west wasn't that wild. Why? The Civil war was recent history and most people had guns and knew how to use them. This fact kept a lot of lawlessness in check.

Perhaps we need mandatory military service. Out of high school, two years of service gets you two years of paid college. Every adult would know how to use firearms and more importantly they would know to respect them and to use judgement before they use them.

even if they are not capable of understanding how to use and employ their weapon? That is a very open ended statement...
