No; live just outside Oakland and still not watching. If I get the urge to watch a ball thrown through a hoop I can always buy tickets to the circus.

NHL playoffs are on though and I'd even watch minor league hockey before most basketball.

I'm sorry you don't like basketball. I grew up playing it at the courts every single day so it's in my blood. I was fortunate enough to grow up in the Jordan ERA and now I'm watching the James ERA.

Two of the most dominating basketball players in the history of the sport.

I'm rooting for Cleveland though. They got it tough with all the injuries and to see James lead them to a title would be sweet as hell. They said he couldn't do it without a 2nd and/or 3rd all star but he's managing just fine.

You asked if anybody's watching the NBA Finals and I'm simply answering honestly and with some specifics as to why ...

One of the reasons that I no longer watch hoops - it has morphed into a sport of individuals rather than the team sport of the 1980s and prior. All I hear on the news is James and Curry, as if the other players don't exist. Here's a specific example of what I'm talking about -

The Miami Heat win the NBA Title and Lebron James gives a post-series speech that includes the word "I" no less than 18 times and the word "WE" not once. The Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup and Jonathan Toews uses the word "I" zero times and the word "WE" a total of 14 times in his post-series interview.

Couple pictures sum-up my thoughts as well ...

Oh I can't help but agree with you about that **** but luckily I'm deaf and do not have to hear all that press-conference dress-up chit-chat crap. I just watch the game specifically for the game itself, not the pre and post game B.S. The game is a bit weaker than back in the 80's but it's still basketball and I love to watch it.
