hey fellow NTD particepants
i am a NTD "virgin" aswell a recently new jeep owner (4 months)
i have been topless since saturday. the high today was 27 here. at school i anticipated a small bit of snow, but not merely as much as we got


i couldnt get any with me in the picuture, and all i had was my cell phone, so i took some at the school parking lot after school:
heres the back of my jeep as i approach it

then i opened the driver side door

my poor e-brake boot

and finally after some precison seat snow removal


and some stories:

i was stopped at a red light and a van pulled up next to me. i glanced at the driver, then glanced back at the light. next i hear "i bet thats's a cold ride to work". so i turned to the can and the guy had rolled his window down. i said "yea a little bit cold, but its national topless day for jeeps, so i have to participate". he then said "yea im taking my daughter to school (he pointed to my school which was about a mile away), and i was just telling her, (who was next to him, and very hott i might add) that you must be very cold." then he told me that he had owned a CJ and he is glad he found out about national topless day. then he wished me a good day, and i did the same as the light turned green.

another story is i am a teacher aid for one of my teachers and whenever i go in his class, after he takes attencdance, he gets up and i use his pc to JF. in the begining of the year, he saw me on JF and i said i was looking for a new top. so he always jokes when he sees me on JF to just buite the bullet and get a new top. well today i got to return the joke when another teacher heard me talking about NTD so she told the teacher i aid for, and i told him that i was sick of looking for tops, so i just took it off so i dont have to worry about it.

then there was this other girl who i find very annoying me telling me im screwed and all because of how much it had snowed, and i responded with "thats the fun of it".

i also had 4 girls hear that i had snow in my jeep, so i ended up giving them all a ride home

cant think of anymore at the moment, im sure i will later but also what i find funny, is people may not know me, but they know my jeep, (mainly because of the smiley face KC daylighter covers) and my friends have been coming up to me to tell me people have been saying "hey do you know that crazy guy with the top off his jeep?". i thught that was pretty known, so since yesterday since i had the top off aswell, i have been getting a reputation

the only other wrangler driver has a hard top and 33's and a 4" lift, and i dont think it has ever been off road. he didnt participate though.
all and all it was a fun experience for me, and i look forward to doing it next year.

Though I'm about 1000ft higher than where the temp was taken. According to Weather.com it feels like
-5*F outside right now.

I forgot my camera when I went to school, so no action shots. But I was wearing a jacket and pants. No gloves and I wore a baseball hat, but it didnt keep my ears warm so it was pretty much like I wasnt wearing one. (I'm never seen without a hat on or else I wouldnt have worn it..) As soon as I started driving this morning I immediatly remembered why I bought a YJ. Driving without the doors or top is so much fun even when it is 10* out.

i wanted to participate. but the weather here is a bit bad for that... 30 cm of snow. rain, ice pellets and freezing rain... ice pellets hurt bad enough when you're just walking.

here is me leaving base a beautiful day here in port angeles washington, i think the high was 45 today!

So today here in Clyde, Ohio. In the northwest corner it was about 18 degrees with light snow all day. I never thought to give my camera to one of my buddies and take a pic of me. But I was wearing jeans and a hooded sweatshirt. I took the top of last night and my sister who is a year younger, 16. Planned on riding the bus this morning so she wouldn't freeze. She came in shortly after going outside and told me she missed the bus. So she walked into the garage to find the jeep topless and doorless. She was curled up in the front passenger seat the whole 9 mile drive at 60 MPH. I got to school and I only have 4 classes then I go to a Tech Prep school about 20 minutes away in Fremont. Which is straight down US Route 20. Me and 2 friends take turns car pooling and they decided they had to participate with me. So we took off and to say the least it was freeeezing at 65 MPH for 20 minutes. We got to Fremont and were driving downtown on our way to eat at Wendy's and there was a bunch of very very hott girls in a VW beetle that smiled and waved at us as we drove by. We walked into Wendy's and everyone was smiling and laughing at it. Here are the pics to prove. I didn't go to a bank and get a picture for temp but I have the weather from weather.com. I was very disappointed to see 3 other wranglers not participating and looking at me like .I don't think I'll win but it was fun.
