Been saying this since grade school. The CoUS was put into place to LIMIT the power of the government, not the rights of the people. The government is gifted the power that the citizenry allows them to have. Unfortunately we have a bunch of politicians that have been doing a very good job (with the help of the media) in convincing the Sheeple that the government grants the rights and is the end all of authority. Ever notice how "diversity" actually means less and not more? Why do you think they want no official language? Why would they want us Balkinized and fractured into many hyphenated subsect of America? Because if we are pissing and moaning about how _______ has it sooooo much better that we do, they can keep us weak while they steal our sovernty, our rights, our freedoms and our liberties. Those who identify them selves as ________-Americans have bought into it hook line and sinker. On 9/11/01 did the government stop the terrorists from using another plane as a bomb by bringing it down in a feild in PA? No, ordinary citizens did. How have nearly all of the terrorists plots been thwarted? Concerned citizens alerting the government that some thing was amiss. When we trade our freedom, liberties and rights for a little "paper" security, soon we have none. Ask the mass graves of Stalin, Hitler, Milosavich, Saddam, Castro and any other toltarian dictator how secure and free they felt. If we continue to let them divide us we will continue to let them enslave us. By living in fear of a day that may never come, we have let them win. The goal of the terrorists was to destroy America. Sadly we will do it for them from within under the guise of security, safety and good intentions.

The term sheeple or calling people sheep really annoys me. It just conveys this utter smugness and is nothing more than childish name calling.

Well that and it usually just means, people who don't think like me, which is a bit hypocritical in the least. But I digress...

Wow, you really provided a deep look into who you are. You admit that you don't think, yet get offended when identified as such. Sheeple is a term used to identify those who blindly follow the other masses around them. I can only guess, but I think it would be fair to assume that you have never spent any appreciable amount of time around sheep. If you had, you would know that 95% of the time, the herd will blindly follow the "sheep" that is percieved to be the leader. They will jump the fence, go down a path, enter a body of water and drown because of the fear of acting alone. Sounds like a pretty good description of most of the American populace to me...

I think this can be extended to the human race in general. People are afraid to lead.

But there's also the opposite end of the spectrum where people don't follow no matter what, just for the sake of making a big deal and being an attention whore. I think both are equally bad.

haha wow, apparently I touched a nerve. I wasn't disagreeing with the meat of what the guy said. Just the fact that the term is childish name calling at best and in no way shape or form adds to the argument. But since you've already been provided a deep look into who I am, you probably should have known that by now.
