NASCAR fans?

Just got my tickets to Vegas, anyone else going? I remember last time we were there, there was a lot of Jeeps in the parking lot, I'm sure a few were JeepForum enthusiasts.

NICE. I went to both races at Pocono last season, hung out with a few Jeepers before the race, good times. Can't wait for the 14th, now I've got something to look forward to on Sundays.

Ive scored tickets to Kansas Speedway the past few years. They are pretty awesome about giving a chunk of tickets to the National Guard.

I use to be a Nascar fan. Well I guess I still am but not a much as I was back in the mid to late 90's. I just can't get over the cars, they all look alike. I know they have not been stock since the 60's but at least in the 90's you could tell a T-bird from a Grand Prix without having to read the stikcers. I also hate that they quit going to some of the old tracks like The Rock or North Wilkesboro. Tracks back in the day had charictar, today they are all cut from the same mold and make for some boring races. I still have not been to Kentucky Speedway because I know it will be the same as Nashville (same distance from home for me). Although I am happy to see they are relaxing on some of the rules, I will be watching Daytona this year, might even watch the whole thing.

Back when legends like Earnhardt and Petty were racing? Earnhardt was my favorite up until that day of February 18, 2001. Now I follow Jeff Gordon.

x2. the "cars of the future" are safer, yes, but a heck of a lot more boring to watch.

i haven't watched a race in two years, but i might catch the daytona too.

Every year I attend the Kroger 200 (Nationwide) in Indy. I also get the exact same seats each year, which are awesome as they're the last row of the lower center section, so no one is sitting behind us. The wife and I take the TJ early (it's a 7 pm race), which I have a tent that hooks on the back and we tailgate.

But I do want to go to some other tracks as well, such as Bristol, Richmond, Darlington and as well to Charlotte.

I used to be VERY into nascar from about 7-16 then i grew out of it. Jeff Gordon was my favorite driver. Saw a race at pocono raceway, pretty cool I saw mark martin crash.
