So i had my jeep in the shop the past week or so getting a new gas tank and skid and some other stuff and i get a call from my mechanic. Apparently some yuppy guy brought in his brand new 2006 jeep to get a lift and tires, and wanted to get rid of his "old" rims and tires. I just happened to be needing new tires here shortly so my mechanic asked him what he wanted for him and the guy said, oh i dont know maybe $500 for all 5.

Long story short i got 5 new wheels and tires off a 2006 wrangler with less than 50 total miles on them. I don't know what kind of rims but they are off the rubicon and the tires are the new wrangler MTR's. Crazy huh??

With all these dealershoip horror stories it really pays to have a good mechanic friend who looks out for ya huh??
