my Golden Eagle = Keyed

Yeah so...after my stomach dropped out of my *** and I woke up from fainting...I notice someone has taken a key, or a knife...*pretty deep, went through the paint* to my golden eagle decal. So besides venting...anyone know what I should do to repair the scratched paint and is there anything to be done for the vinyl decal? blah...

ebay the decal (or ask around the forum) and as for the keying/knifing, depending on how deep it is. try buffing it out. If not, you can take it to a body shop if it's that bad.

If your in North jersey, my step-father owns American Automotive off route 94. PM me for the #.

That really sucks, if it ripped the decal, it has to be replaced, same with the paint. If its key mark is not too deep in the paint it might be able to be buffed out. Megiuers Heavy Cut polish works pretty well when its followed up by thier I believe Yellow Show Car Wax. Or just Megiuers Gold Class Wax.. I've personally found that Dupli-Color repair paint that comes in those little sticks (and is applied similar to nail polish) looks like crap when its applied over scrathes in a couple weeks, so if its really bad plan on a respray.

On a side note, my sister got a 05 Crossfire Base Coupe last year, and she had it about a month at school before some girl got jealous of her and scratched B*TCH into both sides of it, and rammed it with her car. The car was in the body shop over a week. It was cool though, because just after the girl did this to my sister's car, she found out her boyfriend had given her herpes.. karma's a b*tch.

I was afraid it was an actual golden eagle instead of a TJ with golden eagle stickers.

take it wheeling through some bushes so the rest of it gets striped. no one will notice the key mark.

Sorry to hear about that. Some jerk no doubt. I think your hood will need to be repainted, or it will start to rust. A body shop would probably charge up to $300 to repaint it.

Before my wife had her currently Liberty, she had a Civic. We stopped at a Starbucks in a bad part of town, and ten minutes later we came out and the front bumper had 43 cuts all over it, up and down. My father-in-law has a body shop, so he fixed it for us. Some of the cuts were really deep, so he had to really sand it down.
