My dreams about my ex gf are weird. Can I have help

Ok, this is so weird. I dated a girl when I was 15/16 for 8 months or so and she broke up with me. She was my first love and was awesome. Just a really cool and pretty girl that was into sports, having fun and being balenced.

Fast forward 5 years. Yeah, 5 years. And I have had many more experiences if you understand what I am saying. And now I am in college, have not seen her AT ALL in over 2 years and I have been with my current gf almost a year(11 months)
She is great, sometimes annoying but what girl isnt, we dont fight and its great. But I keep having these dreams about my ex and how she still loves me and we kiss and talk--really weird and stuff I know. But I wake up the next day and I feel distant on my behalf from my gf for a few days and really have strong feelings towards my ex. I have been with about 20 other girls since (not sexually with all but still, first base, ya know) and she still stays in my head.

I had one last night and cant handle it any more, I have these really strong feelings.

I dont know if I should call my ex and tell her, I dont know why. Or if i need a break from my current. I dont know why this either, because its just a dream right? We are perfect. I really dont know. So I am looking for some help from JF first of course.

I say if you got a good thing dont blow it,say you dump the current girl and call the ex and she says no well your screwed and not in the fun sort of way,my buddies wife had a dream of her and I and a hot tub,we laughed about it but wont ever act on it because we both have a good thing going.Just enjoy your dreams and dont stress to much about em. Also before some one else beats me to it pics or this thread is worthless.

x2, I still to this day can recall most of the things that I have done with my first real girlfriend from places we went, activities we shared, etc. There have been times I would think how she is doing now and some feelings are still present but nothing to take away from how I feel now about my current girlfriend.

I wouldn't call your ex to say you are having dreams about her, but if you both are on mutual terms, give her a shout to see how she has been doing.

x2, even just to say hi. Maybe theres a reason she's in your head, maybe she needs you in another way that isnt even related to a relationship!

i have dreams of my ex or something big that went on while we were dating from time to time and itll make me miss her alot and makes me distant from my current GF. i stopped talking to my ex cuz shes a dumb ***** but i was polite and never argued with her just stopped talking. well i got to really missing her so i tried to talk to her. she was a total ***** for no reason and that pretty much broke that spell. i dont care to ever talk to her again

my point is youll miss her from time to time but keep going with what you have and itll stop eventually. dont let your past ruin your future

Yup, better off without her. If she felt the same way you'd still be together.

Man feelings:
1) want eat
2) want zug-zug
3) want sleep
4) want wheel
5) want make something go boom
6) and road rage

What you have is temporary. Go get a bottle and look at some porn.

Call her if you can. Just to see what she is up to. See what happens.

Amen to that. Still runs around in my head too, and that was 3 years ago.

I love how Jeepforum is a ******* emotional support group as well as a "I WANNA CRUSH THAT HOUSE WITH MY @#$%ING JEEP!" club.
