music?...

Ok I have a quick question, I am putting together for my ALS class a video and I want to add music but I want it to be gender or music type neutral. Reson being, heck that aint important. What I would like to know is what songs do you think i should use? I want something that has either stood the test of time and everyone still likes or something more recent that might stand the time test. thanks ahead of time, now back to studyin...

What type of video will this be? Gotta have the right music to fit the right mood.

yes right on, this video mainly consits of pictures of fellow students doing various stuff thoughout ALS(airmen leadership school). I guess its hard to explain. I know I am using Jimi Hendrix's star spanngled banner version at the start but that is as far as I have gotten. The music needs to be upbeat but not like crazy fast and somewhat clean. like like older rock but thats me... but not so much for the the younger gen, i have about 5+ yrs on most students... if you get what i am saying

Airmen, as in planes and stuff? lol (Sorry, its late, brain is not 100% awake)

Maybe you should go with something like "Learn To Fly" by the Foo Fighters.
"Free Fallin'" By Tom Petty (Well, maybe not)
"Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz

I could probably think of a bunch of others but I'll wait for your response. Those are pretty neutral and not too fast or slow.

I've used U2's "Beautiful Day" and "Vertigo" to much success in similar compilation videos. Both fit your neutral definition. "Beautiful Day" builds up nicely, and "Vertigo" just makes you feel good when you hear it while watching such a video (IMHO).

"dreams" by Van Halen....with the video above. No better song, plus it is all about Air Force.

Oh man, good choice.

Few more:
"Here To The Night" by Eve 6
"Drift and Die" by Puddle Of Mudd (Maybe acoustic version)
"Its Goin Down" by the X-Ecutioners (Borderline fast)
"Funk #49" by The James Gang (Good classic )

I dunno, My mind is blank right now. Can't think of any more.
