Moving... registering my jeep?

I'm getting an apartment in delaware, and relocating from my parents home in pa. I was wondering where exactly the line is drawn between which state you should have your vehicle registered in. I'll be living in de for at least a year, but come home at least once a month. Is switching my title, registration and everything necessary or can I get away with still having my registration and insurance through pa?

The laws in each state differ, but your registration is typically based on your "permanent" residence. In other words, if you're going to school in one state but will otherwise still maintain your parent's house as your official residence, you may not have to register your vehicle in Delaware. If, however, you're setting out on your own and are establishing your own address from this point forward, you'll likely need to get it registered in the new state. Regardless, you should research the laws in Delaware, since that's where you'll be spending most of your time and doing most of your driving.

I live near the DE Memorial bridge, and I see cars with PA tags parked in front of houses all the time, and they don't really do anything about it. It may be easier to get it registered in DE, but without knowing why you're moving to DE and where, I can't say for sure.
