Motorcycle peeps, I have a question!
Hi everyone!
I lost my grandfather on Sunday and he was an avid motorcycle rider in his younger days.
He left my sister and I each one of his motorcycles that he had been saving.
One is a ~1976 CB360

The other one is an early year, 85 or 86 probably, Honda Rebel 250 I think.

Those aren't my pictures, but the colors are correct.
I'm the older of the two of us and my little sis has already given me first pick. Which one should I go with?

I would take the CB260. Do either of you ride?
Sorry for your loss.

Go for the vintage one. It's way cooler. Either way you can't go wrong because it's a Honda. I like riding the older bikes.
but for real, you have to pick the CB

Thanks guys for the thoughts. He was a great guy. Could fix anything just by taking some time and looking it over, build things just by looking at a finished example, and started teaching me about turning wrenches.
I don't ride on the road but have ridden multiple dirt bikes. I plan on taking things pretty slow, the motorcycles are going to be kept at my parent's place back in the mountains and I'll ride on weekends until I feel confident enough to bring it here to Concord. I do look forward to commuting with it later on though!

I just found out that the CB360 was only produced for a few years and is fairly rare.

Eh, not really. Remember, in those few years they probably made millions of them.
I believe the CB360 has a 6 speed gearbox. The previous version was the CB350 with a 5 speed box. Essentially the same bike but one of the big differences was the addition of the 6 gear.
Anyway,
CB 360 All the way.

Well relatively speaking. I bet I'll be the only person on my block with a CB360. lol
I didn't mean it was one of like 50 remaining or anything. It is just neat to think that it will be something wholly different. (And if you know me, you understand that means I'm really leaning that way)

I'd go with the rebel it looks more sportier, I'm more of a sport bike person. Sorry for your loss.

70's era CB's have decent collector value. 80's Rebels, not so much.

20 years ago the CB360 was as uncool as the 250 rebel is today. CB is on it's way up the cool chart, rebel's gonna need 20 years to start climbing

My first bike (that's still in my shed) is a 1981 Twinstar 200. Even though it is not running now, I still get offers from people to buy it. A Rebel is a Rebel. It will be easier to find parts for the Rebel, but the CB will get more attention. And probably more fun to ride. The vintage one's are the collector items now.
