Not in every case! I install emergency lighting, and I can tell ya that LED's will build heat from the resistor's & diodes. I have seen LED's get hot enugh to burn bare hands.
There's a reason these have heat sink's.

The Vision X lights get REALLY hot. They may be LEDs, but they are not cool like you'd expect. I was really surprised how hot they got, jokes about plastic JKs aside. But they are also really bright - the windshield mount ones are 500w equivalents.

And ingore the Corvette ones if you weren't reading back a few pages. It was simply an attempt at humor. I don't get why people here hate the Corvette so much.

You want motivation - I drove the Corvette exactly once last year, because the JK was getting it's lift installed. The rest of the summer, Jeep only!
