Thats pretty tall. Thats funny you brought up bringing a stool. When I camp I bring a milk crate for my wife to stand on in case we need to work on the jeep together so she can get up high enough to reach the engine

The only bad part about where we see and where she can do it at is the fact that most of these lakes are snowed in past june and july somtimes and already getting snow again buy late september.

That water is beyond cold. At 6000-8000 feet the water is so clear but so cold.
