Want a boring drive? Take I-39 through Illinois. I had to drive it 4 times over the summer...excruciatingly boring.

and if you ever make that drive , get gas in Montgomery< AL cause there aint much in between there and the gulf.

I had just foud the pics burried on photobucket and decided to share...

wow., that had to be along.......trip.

about once a month for work, I have to go to Savannah, from Atlanta. Its not bad for a trip or two during the summer if I can drive the jeep, but when I have to do that 5 hours solo, in the standard rental car, I-16 from Macon to Savannah is almost not even worth getting some seafood..

You sir have never driven through Ohio. PA is real interesting compared to OH, they have nothing but corn and soybean stretching for miles upon miles.

Try driving the northern route cross country. I drove out to CA a couple years ago. Took the high road(I-50 I think?). EIther way, driving through the cornfields of the midwest is the most boring ride ever. Drove through about 4-5 stateswithout the scenery changing one bit. Luckily, I had a handheld, a couple other cars with me, and of course my cigarettes. Wyoming was a nice scenic drive though. Even though we stopped in one town where the pop was 400. The school, post office, and community center were all the same building. Kinda weird. Dont think I would have stopped at night. Wouldn't mind taking the Harley out there though.

Ahhh driving through Ohio, Do it every day, but this weekend was a little different. Trip from Akron, Ohio, To Athens, Ohio, to pick up the girlfriend, then to Charleston WV for a George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Tracy Lawrence concert. Same corn fields ya'll were talkin about only thing different this time was when my alternator gave out at 5 in the morning. Wrenching on your jeep on the trail, and wrenching on your jeep on I-77 with trucks goin by at 80 MPH are 2 totally different things.....haha sorry about the rant!!

Anywhere on the east coast you're bound to run into mountains. Even Penn isn't so bad on the Pike when you go through the mountains. Eastern Colorado is pretty bad, so is part of Nebraska, but by far the most boring STATE to drive through is:

Illinois.

Anywhere.

Either south on 55 or 57 or 80 or 88 west to the big river from Chicago. Bad.

x2 Montgomery to Mobile. Spent 15 months working in Mobile 14 years ago. Went back thru there a couple weeks ago to help clean up in Pearlington, MS. I-65 is still the worst.

I-16 Macon to Savannah, close 2nd.
