Moab is in Danger! - Act Immediately!

Between 3300 and 3900 miles of trails in Moab to be closed!

COMMENTS ARE DUE BY NOV 30TH, PLEASE REACT NOW!

http://www.rockymountainextreme.com/showthread.php?p=464348

This is only a sign of things to come. It's time to fight for our land or we'll eventually lose it all. We need a strong showing from the 4x4 community.

The greenies are already boasting that we won't even come close to matching the # of comments they'll submit and I believe it. The good thing is most of these people have never been to Moab, so their comments lack sentiment. These people are trying to close lands they've likely never even seen before!

Please read through the link above and submit a brief, factual, and most importantly a unique letter with your personal feelings BEFORE NOV 30TH (FRIDAY)!!!

This only takes a few minutes of your time. I sent my letter in, did you?

This is important, it'll only take a couple minutes of your time and could make all the difference in the amount of trails we lose. I sent mine in a couple weeks ago

It's doubtful unless our community really speaks up.

The "greenies" have a VERY strong voice unfortunately. We need to do the same.

Yep they do, but we can have an even stronger one, I know most folks care about these things, we just need to organize and take a stand.

I think we need to march on washington. That seems to be the way things work.

Perhaps we should. We (offroad enthusiasts) had a big rally here in Utah at the state capitol last year, we had a decent turnout as I recall.

*Anything* done irresponsibly is dangerous. Separating the careless from the responsible enthusiast is what will keep our trails open.

The huge problem with off-road trails on federal land is that BLM and USFS have an enormous amount of power and control over how to regulate the trails. Once these agencies make decisions it is practically impossible to reverse it. That is why it is so vital to take action during the notice/comment period and not afterwards.

There is a huge body of law out there regarding off-road vehicles on federal land and a lot of it is anti-ORV. The comments sent to BLM should include personal comments about the area but also should indicate which alternative is ideal and the negative impacts of the other alternatives.

If you can figure out how to do that, you get my vote for president.

That is 100% accurate. Today we ran Hell's Revenge and you can see the fresh tire tracks off trail from vehicles, not to mention the trash that I picked up.

THAT is the type of thing that makes us loose our trails.
