I got to meet Ms. USA, Ms. Teen USA, and Ms. Universe when I was down at GTMO as well as the K.C Chief cheerleaders. Ms USA wasnt very bright because when you first get to GTMO at the airport near the ferry landing is an old F4 Phantom that was looking its age. So my Plt Cmdr has the brilliant idea of us repainting the thing and as we are standing there with paint brushes in hand she comes walking by "Oh and what are you guys doing"....

as far as miss universe goes, I don't see how you guys are surprised. it's a beauty pageant, not a spelling bee.

"We visited the Detainees camps and we saw the jails, where they shower, how the(y) recreate themselves with movies, classes of art, books. It was very interesting," Mendoza wrote of Gitmo. "I didn't want to leave, it was such a relaxing place, so calm and beautiful."
Maybe after Obama closes it, they can turn it into a resort! haha

You're on the right track. Obama should get rid of this silly embargo we have with Cuba then we can get Cuban cigars and rum freely.

More serious are the $6 billion costs of the "green wall" of trees being built to shield Beijing against sand and dust, and the $7 billion per year of losses created by pest species. We enter the zone of impressive numbers when we consider the onetime cost of the 1996 floods ($27 billion, but still cheaper than the 1998 floods), the annual direct losses due to desertification ($42 billion), and the annual losses due to water and air pollution ($54 billion). The combination of the latter two items alone costs China the equivalent of 14% of its GDP each year." - Jared Diamond, Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed

But if he does that where will the rest of us go on vacation so we don't have to deal with Americans.
