Military Boots

I need some input from fellow Military guys on here about hot weather boots. I'm down here in Honduras and need a new pair. The px here doesn't sell any type of boots so I gotta order them online. Any input on a brand, type and website would be greatly appreciated.

Danner makes some real comfy boots. A little pricey and I've seen them fall apart at the seams on some of my guys before.

The standard issue boots made by belleville are pretty good for their price. They're all I've used since I got my first pair of them. Once they're broken in they're real comfy, and once you wear them out it's not going to break the bank getting another pair.

Just depends on how much foot travel you're going to be doing.

Personally, as long as there's a tight fit and good arch support - it's got everything I need in a boot. I'm more picky about my socks and bootlaces.

I am with jrscoe, Oakleys are comfy, but not the best looking. I like Rocky Boots to, they are pricey but well worth it! (My aunt is an executive there, so I get 35% off)

Galls is another place to attempt. I have been wearing converse for the last several years and love them. Im an Electricain for the CG and they are a composite toe so that makes things nice. They used to be cheaper a while back I suspect a search may find them cheaper.

We've been told not to use them anymore since you have to send a copy of your military ID, which is a big no-no

Oakley S.I. ASSAULT COMBAT BOOTS 8 INCH | Oakley Store

I've used both of them, and was extremely happy with them. If I had to choose I would go with the Oakley due to comfort.

Well it depends on how much walking you do. If you do a lot I would go with the Oakleys, if not i would just go with the bates. Although with the bates you my have to put a insole in.
