Meteorologists know nothing

We were predicated to have the coldest winter here in 20 years....well today it was +2C and yesterday 0C and supposed to stay this way for a week. Thats unreal for here in Jan. We have barely hit -30'sC yet. I swear they just pull the weather predictions out of a hat here.

Same here, there was much todo on the news about this killer storm (now bear in mind this is LA, where killer storm is anything more than three drops of rain in a half hour period) supposedly coming our way, so far all we've had has been a little light drizzle.

Due to lack of interest, tomorrow has been canceled

I'm in Central Cali and everyone is running and grabbing sand bags that the city is handing out(which will end up costing us money). And barely a sprinkle so far. And the local news was saying something on the news about faux rain or something, like the doppler radars are picking up rain but it's evaporating before it hits the ground

You have no idea how bad ours are. Last year we had the blizzard of a century and on the news before is\t arrvied they just kept saying o its going to be a harsh snow storm. Well on the way home from work I had to abandon my Jeep 5 blocks from my house due to getting stuck in snow up to my doors ( had to crawl out a window) and nearly froze to death in zero visablilty and -45C. They said snow storm but we got a blizzard that shut us down for a day and killed a couple people. They all still have their jobs.

I just dont get it...even a normal winter here Jan should only see highs of -10C and they tell us to prepare for a magor cold. I shouldnt be pissed off cause this side of Canada is always cold but how can they be so wrong like for the past 4 winters now.

We are supposed to have some high tech doppler 3000 system (dont know the real name looks like the damn golf ball thing they have at disney land), they brag about us having one of the best radar systems in western Canada.

The weather prognosticators here in Phoenix have the easiest job in the world. 300+ days of sunshine doesn't offer much of a challenge!

I lived in Phoenix for 8 months when i was 16-17. I looked like an idiot for the first few months, it would hit like 10-20C in the winter and people would wear jackets to school and stuff and i was breaking a sweat in shorts and a t-shirt.

Its a great job to have if you can get it. Where else can you be wrong at your job 75% of the time and still keep it?

Well it is getting wetter, but it's still not bad, I do hope it gets worse, I like rain and we haven't had nearly enough of it lately.

Due to lack of interest, tomorrow has been canceled
