Membership Contest

So.... I feel like I've been neglecting JF a little bit... So to make up for it.. I'm giving away a membership to a deserving member.

Here's the contest.

We've all been a little poor/borderline broke in the past. I want to hear about the wildest and craziest thing you've ever done to earn a little cash.

The top 10 responses will be chosen by Me, Myself, and I. Anyone else that wants to ***** about that.. can go blow. Those top 10 will be placed in a poll in a second thread Next monday (may 14th) for two days of voting. at which time the Winner will get a 1 year membership to JF

Honest stories only will be chosen. If I feel you're taking the piss in this contest, making up stories, or generally just being annoying, You'll be disqualified.

If you can back up the stories with either pics, police reports, news articles, or other Good scar/injury pics about your hijinks... You'll get a better shot at making top 10.

This contest is open to all JF'ers. Those that already have a supporting or lifetime membership will have the option to either renew Their subscriptions for another year, or pass it on to a member of their choice.

College. Summer. 2004. I was smart enough to pay rent three months in advance, but with full time classes, I had nowhere near enough time to work. My job (tech support) required commuting, so my paycheck disappeared into the gas tank and lunch. But, I still needed some entertainment for the weekend.

Solution? Selling plasma for beer money. I'd let them draw blood out of me and filter it through their machine. I'd get the red blood cells back, but was still pretty drained afterwards. They took as much as they could without killing me. But, I got paid cash, worked the "frequent donor" wheel of fortune (I won once: free movie tickets!), and skipped the OJ and cookie.

With my $40, I'd go out drinking with the guys. As a bonus, it took less booze to get hammered (blood to alcohol ratio), and I'd have money left over for breakfast at 2 am.

Pretty sure I culled the herd, so to speak.

Edit: I'll post shots of the permanent "track marks" scars in my arm later tonight, if that helps.

I don't think my wildest doing should be told to public, given all the cops may be reading.

But here is one that won't get me into trouble, and damn, we almost made it too. This is not for the contest, just a funny story.

When I was 9 or so, a good friend's dad is an officer in the army. one day when three of us were bored we went to the barrack. The said dude came up with this genious idea, "hey, I know where they keep all the rifles, let's go get a couple". Being idiots we are, "yay, that's a good idea". So we went to the gun room, and our luck the guard was sound asleep. So each of us grabbed a rifle (with bayonet attached still) and went out to play. before we went down the hallway the guard woke up, saw guns missing and came out chasing us. Needless to say when you are 9 carrying a rifle taller than you, you can't outrun an adult. Well all three of us are caught, parents were called to pick us up, and were in ****load of trouble.

yeah 'cause we all know that the cops/cia/fbi/dea sit on JF and watch for us to admit we did something illegal days/months/years ago

* if this really was the case ---- you would have seen multiple threads of -- "hey guys -- after i posted my thread yesterday - the cops came to my house 'cause i admitted i drank and drove 3 days ago............................................... ..
