^It's becoming quite popular, I quite frankly don't care for it though.

There is a company that has a few helicopters with real resolution HD (not GoPro, much higher quality) cameras mounted underneath on a 2 axis mount. Can rotate 360* left/right and rotate 140* up and down, camera is transmitting wirelessly as well to the ground team. Takes 2 people to operate, one to fly, one to operate the camera.

I setup a few slowsticks on the stock brushed 400C motors, D gearbox. Run a 9x5 GWS HD prop and a 20 amp ESC with Lipo cutoff on it and you can run a 3S lipo easily. Only draws about 9 amps at WOT on the ground, so in the air it would draw about 8 amps WOT, which is not enough to cook the motor. We were routinely flying for about 45 minutes on a 3S 2100mah 20C pack. A great combination, especially for the "Every an for himself" type combats.

Just a suggestion, if you want to continue with your hobby without FAA interference, don't be buzzing fishermen or the farmer's cows. It won't take much for the FAA to step in to regulate this.

Why would you even assume I would do that. Those farmers (the Zimmerman's and Martins) are my neighbors.

You just ruined the moment and thread. Thanks.

Well, perhaps it was the sight of cows being frightened and a low pass over fishermen in the stream. How was I to know the situation?

Being a commercial pilot and CFI myself and having seen how the FAA operates, that oraganization really doesn't care about the details of a sitation (just look up Bob Hoover's adventure with the
FAA). It tends to make knee jerk reactions based on superficial evidence. All it takes is one instance and all of a sudden you get the FAA trying to "help".

If you don't want the FAA help, my suggestion would be to avoid posting videos showing aircraft harrasing people/animals. If you do want the FAA meddling in your hobby, then post anything that you want.

This is why we as modelers have the Academy of Model Aeronautics on our side, regardless of whether or not we support them. They have stepped in the way of the FAA each time they have tried to cease model aircraft activities, and will continue to do so. Otherwise we would have been shut down long ago.

Sort of on topic. I thought this was pretty neat.

I hope your not referring to my video. There are no cows or fisherman in it at all.

I'm in the process of building the FT Bloody Wonder scratch build.

I'm going to use it to pull a streamer for the dogs to chase.
