Laws regarding carrying a taser? (PA)

I was interested in getting a taser and was wondering what the legality of carrying one for self-defense is. I have searched for info on the web but have come up with conflicting information...

I have a PA license to carry if that makes any difference...

Thanks for any info you can help with!

Ok, with a little more searching it is legal all over PA without any permit except they are prohibited in Philadelphia. What I cant seem to find out is if I can carry one in philly because I have a firearm permit... Anyone know?

I believe if you go to www.taser.com and click on the products for citizens, they have links to the laws. It has been awhile since I have been there. Tasers are not classified as firearms so firearms rules do not apply.

Tasers are a good tool, but I don't think I would carry one as a citizen if I could carry a handgun and OC.
