Las Vegas Strip

Great or Nothing Special?

Whats the best hotel in your opinion? Also clubs? I like the Wynn, Venetian. Clubs, Body English and Tao.

I don't care for Vegas. It's a stink hole IMO. But I don't gamble so I really have no desire to go there. The only thing that would get me to Vegas is a show I really want to see....but it would have to be Elvis risen from the grave or something really incredible like that.

I don't gamble much either but I like to go just for some fun. It's getting to darn expensive now.

You can still get deals in Vegas during the off season, I went there with my father just before Christmas and the hotels were super cheap.

I quite like some parts of Vegas, like the shows (Cirque's "O" is phenomenal) and the food, but I'm not a gambler, so I'm pretty much done after a day or two there. Alcohol you can get anywhere, I don't see the attraction in going to Vegas just to get drunk, I can do that here.

My gf and I like to stay at the MGM Signature, which has very nice rooms.

Due to lack of interest, tomorrow has been canceled

Go downtown, that is where the real party is at. The first time I went, we spent a lot of time walking the strip. Next time, I'm spending the whole time downtown, under that that light ceiling thing. We got wasted there for pretty cheap and ate steak and lobster for almost nothing.

Vegas is the kind of place you have to go to at least once just to say you've been there. The glitz, the neon, the scantily clad women, the free alcohol, the cheap food, the extravagant casinos, the sleazy high rollers, the hookers, the spectacle...it's so over-the-top it has to be seen to be believed!

After the 2nd or 3rd time, though? Meh.

You live and learn. At any rate, you live.

I live here and I like it. I dont go often, nothing worth it, but If i'm tired of drinking at a friends house or a party then I get a few friends, suit up, and hit the strip. its fun to watch people and interact with drunk tourists.

Been here since '93...I avoid the strip except to go to work. Friends and family come and I point them in the right direction. The Vegas valley has so much more to offer than just the strip...I just hope the secret doesn't get out.

what are you talking about!!! there;s nothing to do here other than the strip! No hiking, rock climbing, camping, 4x4ing, swimming, boating, skiing or anything of the like!

I dig the strip. I can only take 3-4 days of it though. I've gone to SEMA every year (minus 07) for the last 6 years, which is fun. Gives you something very cool to do instead of just wander aimlessly for a portion of the day. That's always a guys trip. I go for the Academy of Country Music awards with my wife for a 3 day trip each spring too. That one is really fun.

I like the restaurants better than the club scene. Bellagio is still my favorite hotel to stay in, and Caesars and the Wynn are my favorites to gamble in. I have a very good friend who has the inside track to stuff through her job, so when we do want to hit clubs we can. I don't know how she gets us hoodlums into the nice joints, but she hasn't failed to get us the VIP treatment yet
