I made some koolaid maybe 4 weeks ago but haven't wanted any until now. Does koolaid go bad? Its just color suger water and flavoring....

You bring up an interesting a dilemma. Most things change color when they go bad. I'd say drink it, if it tastes like old socks then I am willing to bet it went bad.

See milk doesn't change colors until it goes REAL bad... Water just gets a lingering funk that is so subtle the sugar might mask the smell. What if there are giant koolaid amoebas...

Turns out drinking old *** koolaid is more dangerous than you might expect. WARNING SOME DRAWRS CONTAIN SHARP OBJECTS SUCH AS KITCHEN AID MIXER DICING BLADES. Reached in for a long wooden spoon to stir the sugar back up and sliced my finger open pretty good.
On a more important note… Koolaid is drinkable after a month of sitting.
