JK doors

Have an '08 JK and have finally taken all the doors off (first time for drivers door, other three were off once--that's another story!). They were incredibly hard to get off and now that they are, the rubber grommet? in the hinge is shredded. Anybody have this happen? Do they really need to be in there? Other than greasing the pins before putting the doors back on, any other suggestions for easily removal next time? One more thing, I bought this jeep brand new and about half of the hinge paint is bubbled already!! Crossing my fingers that Jeep will stand behind this & fix it before the rust is out of control! Anybody else rusting out hinges at 3 yrs??
